Amir Saad Rizvi was released from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore on Tuesday after successful talks between the Pakistani government and the recently banned religious and political party Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan (TLP).
Meanwhile, the PPP has refused to attend the National Assembly session in which a resolution on the deportation of the French ambassador is to be tabled at the request of Tehreek-e-Libek and party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that it is the Prime Minister. Imran Khan has his own filth which he has to clean himself.
Saad Rizvi, who threatened a long march to Islamabad if the French ambassador was not deported by April 20 over blasphemous sketches of the Prophet of Islam, was detained by police in Lahore last week.
The arrests sparked violent protests by the Libek movement in several cities across the country. At least four policemen were killed and hundreds injured during the protest.
